"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" may be one of the most hotly-anticipated movies of 2016, but we've yet to see any actual footage from it. Except for a small snippet of footage seen at last year's Comic-Con, where Batman and Superman glowered at each other in the rain. But that was leaked online, not released- there's been nothing official from Warner Bros. at all.
However, MoviePilot reports that the first-ever, world premiere trailer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will premiere with the film "Mad Max: Fury Road," on May 15, 2015. This makes sense, as both "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Mad Max: Fury Road" are Warner Bros films, and studios tend to use their own films to promote their biggest trailers.
But this might end up being a hoax- and there have been plenty of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer hoaxes in the past. Originally, fans were expecting the first trailer during the Super Bowl this year, but nothing came of it. Then, fans were looking forward to a "Batman v Superman" trailer with "Jupiter Ascending." Nothing there, either. It was also rumored that Will Smith's "Focus" would hold the trailer, but nothing came of it. Hopefully, the "Mad Max" scoop is real. The fans deserve a trailer after this much waiting.
And while many might be looking forward to seeing the early parts of the Justice League forming in the film, Jason Momoa has put that idea to rest, saying it'll be more about Batman and Superman than anyone else.
Geeks of Doom! has the quote: "it's Batman and Superman. It's not my movie. It's the first time in history to have them both on the screen together, and I'm just excited to see those two up there".
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens on March 25 2016, and stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
