Dragon Age's developer Bioware has confirmed via social media site that Dragon Age: Inquisition Patch 5 no longer includes Black Emporium. The absence of the anticipated main feature for the latest installment was first noticed in the game notes released in Bioware website.
Bioware announced on Twitter yesterday that they are not including the Black Emporium for now to the famed Dragon Age: Inquisition Patch 5 to work out some issues. Its tweet read: "The Black Emporium is not part of patch 5 for @dragonage. We are continuing to work on it based on the great beta feedback we received."
Black Emporium is at the forefront of upcoming features when a PC beta for Patch 5 was announced in February. As the website describes it, Black Emporium is a mysterious underground shop run by an immortal proprietor. Game players, known as Inquisitors, can find powerful artifacts and tools to aid their cause, purchase epic weapons, powerful accessories, new crafting materials and schematics.
The new feature will also employ Mirror of Transformation that will allow Inquisitors to change their voice and facial appearance. The Canada-based game developer first excluded the feature in its Patch 5 Notes released on March 2. Black Emporium was announced last month making it the forefront feature of the latest game.
Bioware fellow Mike Laidlow told a Dragon Age fan on Twitter inquiring of Black Emporium's exclusion: "Black Emporium is separate from Patch 5. We beta tested them together, however as BE depends on added Patch 5 functionality."
Notes of the fifth patch of Dragon Age reveal a number of improvements to gameplay and stability is added, as well as some new features. Bug fixes were added for Charging Bull ability, Quarry Quandry, Explosive Shot, and more. A party storage was also added at Skyhold Undercroft.
Dragon Age: Inquisition Patch 5 is now available on PC today.
