The story about our lovely maids will only get bigger as there will be new characters that will be joining the set. Naya Rivera will showcase her acting skills as one of the maids in the next season. According to reports, she will be assigned to a family which keeps a very dark secret. I hope that the writers are squeezing their creative juices on Rivera's story. We don't want a cliché' 'rich-family-killed-someone-gets-richer' plot. We are sick of that.
Based from a source, the Devious Maids' rating last season was lower than that of the first one. They are lucky that the show was still renewed. But I guess this is a wakeup call to the entire team to level up their game plan. They need more mind-boggling conflicts and heart-stopping scenes in order to regain a more favorable rating. But first, they need to ensure that the premiere episode will be able to pick up from the cliffhangers they gave last season. If you can remember, we were left by Zoila's pregnancy. Plus, it ended with a 'literal' bang, a gunshot! Can they tell a good story from it?
Apart from Naya Rivera, Devious Maids will be hotter with the upgrade of Gilles Marini as a series regular. He plays Sebastian, a character that already slept with Carmen. Well, everything seemed perfect until he detonated a bomb. The dude is married. Good luck Carmen.
