Universal Studios' most controversial film yet, Fifty Shades of Grey, which was adapted from E.L. James erotic trilogy has not rested from the spotlight even after weeks from its initial release. The film revolved around the main characters Anastasia and Christian. Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) is a college literature student who came across and got attracted to the wealthy, charismatic and young entrepreneur Christian Grey. This groundbreaking film shook the Hollywood with its different controversies starting with the BBFC's rating.
The film was reported to have cross-dressing flirtation scenes and yet, the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) granted the film an R-18 without cutting any of the scenes out. The film also received different ratings from different parts of the world. Some of the ratings are harsh, such as the ones in Malaysia which banned the film, saying that it is "more pornography than a movie".
Taylor-Johnson researched about BDSM, Film now on torrent
Director Sam Taylor-Johnson took a step up from her responsibilities to research more about the lustful world of S&M. Before helming the movie, she consulted a professional dominatrix (a woman who takes the sadistic role in sadomasochistic sex) in order to effectively envision the film. "The sex scenes are pretty intense, so I'm sure people are going to feel aroused - but I've seen them so many times that I tend to forget." Taylor-Johnson said in a statement.
In other news, an uncut and uncensored "Fifty Shades of Grey" has been rumored to be offered in the Chinese black market. Torrent links are also now available on different sites but Universal still has no comment regarding this controversy.
