HTC had launched its newest flagship smart phone named HTC One M8. This is one of the smart phones that were blessed by Google to carry its software, the Android 5.0 Lollipop. As the product was launched, there were already some complaints from users regarding the OS which is said to cause lots of issues with their HTC units.
There are some bugs and features from the OS that do not work and it would be a great idea for users and potential users to know about them in advance.
One of the issues that were reported was the battery drain caused by the Android 5.0 Lollipop. Many users have reported this kind of problem with their smart phones. Nobody knows yet or has explained how this battery drain problem came to be but there had been tricks and tips that were made available by some users regarding this problem.
It has been reported through Geeksnack that the users' battery life has decreased from 48 hours of light use to 18 hours of almost no on-screen time.
Although most users would simply assume that managing apps would help improve their battery life and would tinker with it on their own, little did the users know that it might cause more harm rather than help. One of the apps that have caused battery drain among HTC mobiles is the Battery Doctor.
The said app is not compatible with the configurations of the Android Lollipop thus instead of helping, it even increased the amount of battery use. This app would terminate apps that are causing battery drain, but the OS would turn them on again. The constant terminating and activating of apps uses more battery.
One of the issues encountered by M8 users is the dysfunction of the apps. There is a tendency for the apps to not download or update. The download process would reach up to 75% and then stop abruptly. This problem could fix by restarting the factory settings since this problem may be caused by a poorly installed OS.
