"Hannibal" Season 3 is about to finish filming and the critically acclaimed psychological thriller TV show will premiere this summer. Zachary Quinto will join the new season as the show explores the events in the "Red Dragon".
NBC has pushed back the premiere broadcast of "Hannibal" Season 3 to summer as confirmed by Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt. The chairman said that "It's a show we love, it's critically acclaimed, we love it," adding that "And we also love summer. We have exciting plans for summer."
It seems that NBC aims to push the return of Hannibal to reach a higher ratings since the show will about to tackle the events in the "Red Dragon" wherein Hannibal will be caught by Will Graham.
Executive Producer Martha De Laurentiis also announced that the Hannibal production team is about to conclude the filming of Season 3. She said that "The HANNIBAL cast and crew head into spring with another two months of filming episodes 310-313," and she explained further that "As I mentioned in last month's newsletter, John Dahl is directing Episode 310. Preparation also is underway for Episode 311, and we are excited that Michael Rymer is back to direct!"
Series creator, Bryan Fuller also confirmed that the production team is about to conclude its shooting. Fuller tweeted that "good! in the thick of it on HANNIBAL season 3. Only 4 more episodes to go! Hope you are wonderful!"
In related news, Zachary Quinto will join the cast as one of the patients of Bedelia Du Maurier. Fans will last remember Du Maurier on Hannibal's side in the conclusion of Season 2. Quinto's past performance in American Horror Story makes him a good fit in the psychological thriller nature of Hannibal.
Hannibal Season 3 is set to premiere this summer. Fans can expect another exciting season as the show takes on the events in the "Red Dragon".
