Studio pioneer Walt Disney Pictures have finally ended the fan casting by naming the top 3 leading casts in the upcoming adaptation of the 1991 classical animation of "Beauty and the Beast". Belle, to be played by the "Harry Potter" alumna Emma Watson, is the princess who will capture our hearts soon.
The story follows that when Belle's father got trapped in an enchanted castle and got captured for a slave by a cursed beast, she took her father's place for him. In her stay in the castle, she meets Lumiere, the butler who's been turned into a candle, Cogsworth who takes the form of a clock and Mrs. Potts, who just like her name, was transformed into a tea pot.
Cast named, Dan Stevens and Luke Evans added to the roster
Ryan Gosling was the first to be rumored to take the role of the vicious yet lovable Beast but "Downtown Abbey"'s Dan Stevens successfully bagged the role. In a twitter post, he confirmed that he will be playing as the cursed prince. E
Emma Watson even greeted the Dan through her twitter post saying "Could not be more happy that this man will be Beast!!! Welcome aboard @thatdanstevens #beautyandthebeast".
Gaston, the egoistic and vain suitor of Belle has a probable star already. "Fast and Furious" star Luke Evans had been reported to be in talks with Disney to play as the film's villain. Watson, as thoughtful as she is, even tweeted the star to welcome him in the cast. "Bonjour Gaston! Welcome! #BeautyAndTheBeast" the actress tweeted.
