“Legend of Korra” Movie, Spin-off Casting: Julia Jones as Korra? Tenzin’s voice talent now an Oscar winner

Nickelodeon's best animated series which aired from 2012 to 2014 have been receiving quite an impressive reviews from a variety of critics all over the world. The series' success was well-received not only by Nick's target audience but also the followers of the avatar series. Aang, the last airbender, was Korra's predecessor. Right after Aang, Korra took over in keeping the balance of the world. Caught between political and spiritual dilemmas, she battles the enemies and keeps protecting the world.

Many fans have been left wanting more especially when the series ended controversially but utterly fulfilling last year. Reports have been spreading like wildfire that the fans have been demanding and even petitioning for the producers to create a movie spin-off.

Without the producers' official announcement for the "Legend of Korra" movie spin-off, the fans have been busy casting the possible stars for the live-action adaptation of the series. "The Twilight Saga"'s Julia Jones can be the perfect fit to play as our main antagonist. With Jones' resemblance with Korra, there's no doubt that she might be on the roster for the celebrity choices. According to a report, Kimiko Glenn can best play as the controversial lover of Korra, Asami. Her credits include "Construction; Nous York", "Hairbrained" and the ground-breaking "Orange Is the New Black."

Meanwhile, "Legend of Korra" voice talent J.K. or Jonathan Kimble Simmons won an Oscar award for Actor in a Supporting role in the film "Whiplash". He plays as Tenzin, the son of Aang. He's one of the main characters in the series, opposite to Korra. Ken Watanabe, best known for "Godzilla", "Inception" and "The Last Samurai", is also one of the best picks to play as the bender master.
