Oscar Pistorius became famous for two things. One, he was the only amputee that competed in the Olympics against able runners. Two, he killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. The latter made him even more infamous. To date, he is serving his sentence inside the jail.
Is he living a good life, or is he suffering like what most people wanted him to?
A couple of weeks ago, sources revealed that Pistorius was given privileges far more different from his other inmates. In general, prisoners aren't supposed to have physical contact with their relatives. That means they cannot hug or kiss them. This is actually different in Pistorius case. Aside from that, he is now allowed to wear some of his luxurious watches. Lastly, he has extra allowance for his additional snacks.
Of course, this is something that Steenkamp's supporters aren't fond of. They want Pistorius to suffer. Speaking of Steenkamp's supporters, it was believed that some of the inmates are threatening the athlete. With that, Pistorius is very cautious on his food intake. He reportedly tries to avoid meals in the cafeteria. Instead, he fulfills his cravings with tinned food. Because he is losing weight, his legs would have to be adjusted.
Meanwhile, another Pistorius is making headlines. Theo Pistorius is facing a different controversy. Just recently, a mother with her terminally ill daughter was evicted from a home which belongs to the Pistorius clan. The daughter was believed to be harassed in order for them to leave the house. While this is not really related to Oscar Pistorius case, a lot of people are trying to sensationalize this story.
The Pistorius family has been facing a lot of controversies. We have Oscar, his brother Carl, who was involved in a car accident, and now their uncle who is said to be responsible for the controversial force eviction. This is a trend their family will have to face. Since Oscar Pistorius' murder case is apparently a 'loud' issue, his family members will be greatly affected as well.
