Recently, Bandai Namco's Tekken 7 will not be an arcade-exclusive, rather in Xbox One and PS4 platforms. On the other hand, King of the Iron Fist Tournament goes to current-generation consoles.
There were reports appeared online that Tekken 7 will be an arcade non-exclusive because of the Unreal Engine 4 promotional video. From the video, it will be directly noticed that the game was included in its featured games along with the others under the Epic Games engine.
Unreal Engine 4 is said to be a complete suite of game development tools made by the game developers. Through this tool, game developers like Bandai Namco can easily start to make outstanding games attractive to crowd. On the other hand, when a game is developed under an Epic Game engine. it will promise each player that the game is Unreal Engine technology.
With that being said, Tekken 7 was one of the listed games which has been developed under these game development engines for its consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One. Nowadays, there is no such thing as an exclusive arcade game in a fighting game franchise. Instead they are now hitting the consoles like the Street Fighter and the Mortal Kombat series.
With the possible platforms that Bandai Namco planned for Tekken 7, there were rumors that it will be in multiple platforms that includes the old generation consoles. However, there were also reports contrasted the former. It said that there is no possibility that the game will be in PS3, Xbox 360 as well as in Wii U platforms.
Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken head had already said from his earlier statements that they will be targetting the game porting much easier. Yet, though it might be released in the current-gen consoles, there is no direct confirmation if the Tekken 7 will be in PC version.
Yet, Bandai Namco assures fans that the game will not be exactly the same game mechanics like the Mortal Kombat and the Street Fighter series, though they haven't said any word confirming the exact gameplay that they will be introducing for the new game.
Tekken 7 is known for its precise, frame-counting gameplay so they don't give much attention to the appearance rather with the game mechanics.
