‘Final Fantasy Type-0 HD’ tells the dark truth of war in the PAX East 2015 trailer

Square Enix presented a dark facet of the upcoming game, "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD," which was part of the "Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy" series during the PAX East 2015 held in Boston. The game had been given an M-rating by ESRB.

Many gamers have been anticipating the release of the game as well as the demo for "Final Fantasy XV" that would come with it. There had been several trailers and walkthrough videos that had been uploaded in the developer's YouTube channel that would fill in the gamers of what to expect in the upcoming game. However, none of these earlier released videos matched the dark setting unveiled in a trailer presented by Square Enix in the PAX East 2015.

The trailer showed that in a war there were no real victors, just survivors. Truly, gamers who would try out this game would feel the dank and dark misery surrounding the countries in Orience. This would be a far cry from the early "Final Fantasy" games that celebrated its music and masterfully crafted worlds. This spin-off featured massacres and intense drama brought about by the confusion stirred by the empire's onslaught; even the summoning of creatures required sacrificing a team member and this was made a necessary evil to combat an invading army hungry for spoils of war.

Meanwhile, gamers could also catch Machina and Rem, two of the 14 members of Type-0, in the trailer fighting for Rubrum's freedom from the menacing empire. Also in the trailer, gamers would see and hear Machina wanting to get hold of an immense power just to destroy his enemies. Would this mean that one of the Type-0 characters might sacrifice their life in order to obtain freedom?

Then, there's the murdered Chocobo that surely every "Final Fantasy" fan caught and caused them to make an oath to seek justice over the untimely demise of one feathered friend. For those who wish to seek vengeance for the death of the poor Chocobo, "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD" would be released a week from now in the US for PS4 and Xbox One; it would come out with a demo for "Final Fantasy XV."
