George Lucas' famous 80's character Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones Jr. might be resurrected to be introduced to the 21st century. According to reports, Disney and Paramount have already closed the deal to award the latter with rights for the "Indiana Jones" franchise. Despite the lack of the official statement from the studio, rumors have been circulating the web that Steven Spielberg has expressed his interests in helming the film and he chooses Chris Pratt to play as the professor and archaeologist adventurer, Indiana Jones or "Indy" for short.
When asked about the role, Pratt said "I do...No. That's the problem... I don't know, I might be, I just got back from the woods killing a bunch of stuff," the actor said in an interview with TMZ. Even though he did not confirm the rumors, he didn't deny it as well, which leaves us room for speculations.
Harrison Ford wants to do a cameo? Who else can be Indiana Jones?
Harrison Ford, the original Indiana Jones who starred in the "Raiders of the Lost Ark" (1981), "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (1984), "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) and the "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" (2008), is aiming to land a cameo role or even hoping to reprise his role as "Indy". "Harrison would still like to be Indiana Jones and work with (Spielberg) and (George Lucas) one more time. He understands that change happens and has nothing against Chris at all." a source said, Hollywood Life reports.
Although Steven Spielberg handpicked Pratt to land the lead role if he will be helming the film, names like Robert Pattison (Twilight Saga) and Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) are also in line for the role.
