Amid issues of its doubted release for 2015, Bethesda seemed to delay the game for a gameplay beyond size of Skyrim. The game development team might be dealing with the specific details for Fallout 4 visual appearance. Thus, hinted that Bethesda might be thinking of getting the 'Game of the Year' title for 2015 again like their previous titles.
In order to be the 'Game of the Year,' based from the requirements set by the board, usually it focuses to the DLC, updates, extras (including soundtracks), depending on the category to which the game belongs.
As for Fallout, the previous title had the Game of the Year title judged by the Crispy Gamer Game Game Trust in 2008, which had the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC platforms. To describe a GOTY under Crispy Gamer, this includes game titles based on the general commentaries, reviews, comics, vieos, including the video game culture.
On the other hand, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which is a role-playing game by nature, received the same title under GameSpot. This award were based from the judgments of the GameSpot editors. Like the former, Skyrim had the same platforms released in 2011.
One review talked about Fallout 4's gameplay in comparison to Skyrim. It mentioned about the possibility that Fallout 4 might go beyond the level of Skyrim engine with its size. Though this claim remains debatable, this might be conclusive to the fact that Bethesda remained silent with its development progress.
By thinking about how Bethesda created Skyrim, they used their own Creation Engine to make every specific detail of the game effects much more realistic. For example, even a single leaf of tree blown by the wind, this should be clearly seen in the game. Relative to the appearance is the texture which gives an effect to games the kind of dynamism needed in a particular game.
With these being said, it hinted that Bethesda aimed to bring the best game for this year as they were awarded the same from their previous titles. Thus, fans may guess that Fallout 4 will be another game next to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as the game of the year.
In order to achieve that, they needed to improve the visuals, audio and more. Previously, it was also reported that Bethesda has hired voice actors in an "AAA video game title." Thus, since January, when it was first leaked, Fallout 4 might be released in a supposed Skyrim engine, as saying, "The supposed work description [AAA video game title voice actors] makes reference to a hero "fighting war in Skyrim."
Another clue why Bethesda's Fallout 4 details in silence, perhaps, they may be trying to release a glitch-free, bug-free, unlike their previous Fallout series. The same source cited that with the Fallout 2, for example, the visuals weren't that impressive as with Skyrim's.
From all these bases for the claim, there is a high possibility that Bethesda might be planning to achieve the GOTY for this year, leading to a silence from the game developers regarding its progress. Perhaps, they might have the same platforms used from their previous game titles and might include the current-generation consoles. Fans may have different views on these claim, but having such possibility is high.
