Paramount's big hit action film series the "Fast and the Furious" has gone into complete jeopardy and tragedy when Paul Walker, one of the leading cast, playing as Brian O'Conner, died in a tragic accident during a break in the filming process. This is why it's such an accomplishment to have finally known that the team had wrapped production and will soon be releasing the film. "I finished the movie last week," director James Wan revealed. "It's hot off the presses."
And the world got a taste of the film's wild action when the studio management decided to hold a secret screening at the South By Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival at 12:07 AM of March 16th. The rumors broke out when the SXSW organizers tweeted "Just added for all #SXSW badges: surprise screening of a huge film, 7 mins after midnight tonight @ Paramount. Gotta be FAST to get a seat." And true enough, a surprise screening was held which blew the audience off their seats.
Film honors Paul Walker's legacy
"The most important thing in life will always be family.", a quote reads on one of the movies teaser posters. Paul Walker has always been one of the cast who bonded them together. "I know Paul Walker would be smiling down on us. We lost a dear friend, brother and comrade when we were making this movie. When we decided to continue this movie, we were determined to honor his legacy." Neal Moritz said while introducing the movie in the screening.
Tyrese Gibson, the star who plays as Roman Pearce said, "We don't look at y'all as fans of the movie. Most of you grew up with us. The reason we kept the movie going is on behalf of our brother Paul Walker." the actor added.
According to reports, the audience feedback was insanely positive in the theater as they clapped and cheered in the part where Walker appeared, the car chase happened and many more heart-racing scenes within the film.
