Recently, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Infinity Ward's former lead designer has returned to the team after five years being away. He expressed his excitement with his return to the game development team, as multiplayer project director.
Todd Alderman, the former lead designer for Call of Duty's developing team, returned to Infinity Ward after being away for five years. To those who haven't known Alderman, he was one of those 38 members who filed suit against Activision for their unreleased bonuses while working for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
From the years of working in Respawn, now back to Infinity Ward, he revealed through his interview about this once-in-a-lifetime chance to work again in the former development team, by saying, "The chance to come back to Infinity Ward and Call of Duty is something I didn't think would ever happen."
With his return, Activision has announced changes of hiring developers from two-year development cycle to a three-year work for the games they work on. In addition, Infinity Ward studio head David Stohl cited, "This is about hiring the best talent for the right position." Thus, hinted that Alderman might work longer in the team this time around.
Aldermann said that there are a lot of changes that happened in the working team since the time he left. He pointed out the kind of people he's about to work with, by describing, "motivated people who want to make something great." With that, he felt the kind of excitement to be part of this type of people [with whom he'll be leading himself].
To Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, it was hinted that he'll be one of those people tasked for its progress. He said, "It's a really cool game concept that I want to be a part of ... I can't wait to see what we do with a three-year dev cycle."
Stohl added, "Todd's accomplishments speak for themselves. We're happy to have him lead multiplayer development here at Infinity Ward as well as provide a level of leadership across the entire studio team. Following last year's combination with Neversoft, we've continued to add some great talent throughout the studio. As we focus on the future, there's a real sense of energy that has us all excited about what's to come."
Moreover, there are still three Call of Duty games slated for release as Treyarch prepared on-board for Call of Duty to launch this year. Expectedly, there will be another new game title that will be launched by 2016.
Activision, aside from hiring Alderman back to Infinity Ward, also announced that they need to hire more 1,000 employees worldwide. Currently, they're setting up for hiring for these remaining ranks around the globe.
Meanwhile, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter game installment, initially released in 2007. The said game was released in Mac OS X, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms.
The said game was designed by Mackey McCandlish, published by Activision and Aspyr Media, along with varied modes available. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare can be played as single-player, multiplayer, in Xbox Live, and PlayStation Network.
For this year, rumors about the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in current generation consoles appeared with its remastered edition. Modern Warfare is the next installment for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which was designed by Alderman himself.
