'Street Fighter V' PS4, Xbox One, PC with Game Controllers Update: Mad Catz, Capcom partnership for 'FightSticks' unveils Arcade Experience

By

Famous arcade game, "Street Fighter" will arrive on its 5th series in PS4, Xbox One, and PC by 2016 with its temporary release date. While waiting for the game, Capcom and Mad Catz disclosed about developing new game controllers, "FightSticks."

Previously, it was already reported that Mad Catz will have its partnership with Capcom to develop new gaming controllers in replace to the old ones. They even expressed their excitement for such move knowing that the game will include these aside from the consoles and PC platforms.

Thus, Mad Catz were cited that they will be heavily busy during this time in preparation for the game launching by spring 2016 as noted. The two will have a three-year partnership including the "Capcom Tour" to happen this year, as the former considered the major sponsor for the event.

They said, "We're expecting to launch a new range of FightPads, FightSticks and Tournament Edition FightSticks just in time for the launch of Street Fighter V."

With these controllers, no designs were out as of now as the controller specialists are still doing the designing based from the recent reports about the controller appearance. Yet, these might be available towards the end of 2015.

Nonetheless, "Ultra Street Fighter IV" had the same fighting sticks released along with the game, which were also used in the arcade to control the game. So, Mad Catz were confident that they can achieve the same success with the controllers for the upcoming game.

"More passionate gamers choose our range of fighting game controllers over any other as they demand quality and precision to help provide a winning edge," Mad Catz said.

They added, "We're confident that our new range will continue to establish Mad Catz as category leaders and prove highly popular to established fighting game players and those new to the series."

Comparing fightsticks with using keyboard nor controls in consoles in arcade games, according to veteran players, there is a big difference with using these sticks. In fact, 99% of them use fightsticks over console controls and keyboard in playing them.

One player said, "These controllers allow players access to all of the buttons that are on an arcade stick ... as well as have two other readily accessible buttons which can be mapped to macros which register more than one button press when pressed." Though both of these types -- fightsticks and consoles -- have eight buttons to press.

"Street Fighter V" will be released in PS4 and PC, as these two platforms were confirmed.
