Leaked screenshots of "Mortal Kombat X" reveal the continued expansion of the fighting game's roster, according to Gamespot.
One of the characters revealed in the screenshots is Erron Black, a gun-toting character donning cowboy-inspired clothes. Prior to the leaked screenshots, Black was only rumored to be a part of the fighting game.
Black first appeared in the "Mortal Kombat X" prequel comic series where he acts as a servant to Kotal Kahn. Baraka and Shinnok who were also previously rumored to be characters in the game have now also been revealed in the similar batch of screenshots.
The three new characters shown in the leaked screenshots are the latest to be shown for the title. Other previously rumored characters such as Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, and Mileena were confirmed for the game in earlier reports. Jason Voorhees from the horror-film franchise "Friday the 13th" is also playable in the game as part of additional downloadable content.
With Erron Black now included into the fold, the confirmed number of characters for the game is now at 25, according to IGN. Also leaked in relation to "Mortal Kombat X" is a new achievement list, according to Tech Times. Some of the achievements included in the leaked list indicate some characters will be unlockable through playing the game.
Alternate costumes were also shown in the batch of leaked screenshots for the game. "Brutalities" will also be returning to "Mortal Kombat X." NetherRealm Studios confirmed the return of the "brutalities" back in February.
The release for "Mortal Kombat X" on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 has been delayed by NetherRealm Studios until a still unannounced date approximately around the summer.
As for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of "Mortal Kombat X," they are still on target to be released for April 14 as originally planned.
