One of the most exciting sci-fi movies, Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens, is set for release during the festive Christmas season 2015, so prepare to be enthralled.
Star Wars fanatics are thrilled no end that the original cast members and fresh new faces have joined the cast ensemble of the much-touted sci-fi flick -- at the helm of Episode 7 is Star Trek director J.J. Abrams --his passion for the flick that evokes space age fantasy & adventure has been so infectious during filming that the actors/actresses have kept mum about the storyline when queried no end by the inquisitive press.
Star Wars creator George Lucas worked on the story four years ago before The Walt Disney Company obtained the rights to the Star Wars franchise. However, Disney opted to create its own story. Star Wars movie watchers will therefore see an original spellbinding story that takes off from "Return of the Jedi." The new Star Wars flick will be part of a trilogy. Star Wars fanatics can only surmise that there will be new enemy factions and a major external threat to the entire solar system in the form of weaponry. Looking back, it will be recalled that the Emperor and the ruthless enforcer, Darth Vader, are dead. The Force Awakens begins with the quest for the missing Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.
The original cast members who will be reprising their roles, much to the delight of the older generation of movie watchers who have enjoyed the original and subsequent versions, are Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford. Also returning to play C3PO and Chewbacca, respectively, are Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew. Adding interest are new characters, like the role that will be played by Domhnall Gleeson of Harry Potter fame; and a female stormtrooper, to be played by British actress Amybeth Hargreaves. Indeed, it's all systems go for the Star Wars trilogy, so enjoy the ride when the action-packed movie hits theaters by yearend.
