It would be a very busy week for Microsoft's Xbox One as two major games, "Borderlands" and "Dead Rising," would be making headlines on the next generation console starting Friday, March 20th.
Xbox One owners would soon be seeing the launch of "Borderlands: The Handsome Collection" on March 24th. The bundle, which would also be available in PS4, had gone gold. With the project development completed, gamers would soon be getting a hold of the remastered versions of "Borderlands 2" and "Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel" that were included in the bundle, based on a report from Gamespot.
Add to that, "Borderlands: The Handsome Collection" would offer something new to the gamers with the four-player split-screen support functionality and cross-save functionality. In an earlier report, it was mentioned that the collection would also be featuring several DLCs; among these DLCs would be "Handsome Jack Doppelganger" and "Claptastic Voyage."
Meanwhile, a digital-only film, "Dead Rising: Watchtower," would be running exclusively on Xbox One, as well as on Xbox 360. The movie would run via Crackle app from March 20 to 26 and Microsoft's resident "Xbox Insider" and Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb confirmed the movie launch, based on a report from Games Radar.
"Dead Rising: Watchtower" would be featuring Chase Carter, an ambitious news reporter, who got caught in the middle of the latest zombie outbreak caused by a bad batch of the vaccine Zombrex. Carter would be seen fighting for dear life while wielding his trusted sledge saw.
Also, the digital movie would be featuring the former "Daily Show" correspondent and comedian Robert Allen "Rob" Riggle, Jr. who would act as the photojournalist cum zombie expert, Frank West. "Dead Rising" gamers would surely be checking out the movie as it would also be dipping its fingers on the exploits and news coverage of West in battling out and taking snapshots of the "un-dead."
For non-Xbox gamers, the live action digital-only film, "Dead Rising: Watchtower," would be streaming on March 27th via Crackle.
