'Pokemon Rumble World' receives rating from Australia: What to expect from newest title

By

The title "Pokemon Rumble World" made a surprise appearance on the Australian Classification Board website, leading to new questions emerging around the franchise.

The listing offers scant details about the new title apart from indicating it received a PG rating from the board. The name of the game indicates it could likely be the latest installment from the "Pokemon Rumble" franchise.

The PG rating was given in part due to "mild violence, and online interactivity." An online mode has not been available in previous games from the "Pokemon Rumble" franchise.

"Pokemon Rumble" has been one of the more successful spin-offs of the large Pokemon universe.

The "Pokemon Rumble" franchise places gamers in a free-for-all style of combat involving different kinds of the fictional creatures. The story of the game revolves around Pokemon toys coming to life and engaging in battle all across different venues, according to Nintendo Life.

Ambrella is listed as the studio behind "Pokemon Rumble World" just as it was for the previous three games in the franchise.

Previous iterations of "Pokemon Rumble" have featured fairly easy-to-grasp gameplay mechanics, allowing even novice gamers to succeed.

The original "Pokemon Rumble" debuted on WiiWare back in 2009. "Pokemon Rumble Blast" was the next title in the franchise, appearing on the 3DS in 2011. "Pokemon Rumble U," released back in 2013, was the most recent title to emerge from the franchise, according to the Anime News Network.

The most recent game from the franchise was playable on the Wii U and utilized the console's NFC support by making use of Pokemon figurines, according to IGN.

News of a new "Pokemon Rumble" game receiving a game rating comes in the aftermath of Nintendo announcing plans to collaborate with mobile game company DeNA.

Nintendo has yet to make a formal announcement about "Pokemon Rumble World."
