'Pink Panther' £7 Million Jewel Heist Update: Evidence of Gem Theft Discovered Outside Paris

By

The Pink Panthers gang has struck again, performing a devastating jewel heist, stealing precious gems worth £6.4m and continually evading police capture as they steal their way across France.

In this latest heist, the gang took on two security lorries and appeared with fifteen men, plenty of guns and plenty of armor. After holding up the lorries military-style in the dead of night (reportedly, the robbery took place at midnight), the Pink Panther gang lifted an enormous amount of diamonds from their targets and escaped in the night.

More details were revealed about this latest robbery- apparently, the gang found a toll booth 125 miles south of Paris where they knew the diamond-loaded lorries would eventually stop. The entire gang hid around the area where the toll booth was, and when the two lorries came to a stop the gang rushed out, removed the drivers from the van and took off with both vans and all the cargo, as well as four very fast cars that aided in their escape.

Apparently, the Pink Panthers gang were carrying a gas-based weapon on them, which has yet to be identified by the authorities but was powerful enough to incapacitate the drivers

Local security cameras were able to get footage of the heist in question, and once the footage was reviewed it was clear that those pulling off the heist were part of the Pink Panthers gang. The Pink Panthers are an absolutely notorious gang- they've evaded capture for twenty years as they travel across the world, stealing unbelievable amounts of gems, often in heists just like the one they just perpetrated. Eventually, the authorities found the lorries, which had been set on fire in a field outside of the village of Quenne, roughly 20 miles from where the robbery took place.

It's not yet known what happened after that.
