"Hearthstone Blackrock Mountain" is the latest expansion to Blizzard's popular Collectible Card Game. It is set for release this April and it will revitalize the upcoming game with 31 new cards and 5 playable Wings campaign similar to the Curse of Naxxramas Expansion. The gaming company is also planning to release the game for smartphones and mobile platforms after its successful launch in Tablet.
BLACKROCK MOUNTAIN
The latest expansion for Hearthstone is now available for pre-purchase for $25. Gamers who will pre-purchase the game will get be rewarded with a rare Molten Core card back. "Blackrock Mountain" will be offered in the same way as "Curse of Naxxramas" wherein players will be able to buy "Wings" which are the solo adventure campaigns for Hearthstone. They will be rewarded with a new card after completing a "Wing". There are currently 5 wings available and 31 new cards will be introduced.
Die-hard fans of the game may find it cheap to buy the entire "Hearthstone: Blackrock Mountain" expansion compared to buying each of its "Wings" separately. In the same manner, it will also be comparatively cheaper to buy the game with real currency compared to in-game gold. Players can get more cards by using their in-game gold on card packs or arena entrance instead of using it to buy the "Blackrock Mountain" expansion.
HEARTHSTONE ON SMARTPHONES AND MOBILE
In related news, Blizzard is currently developing the game for smartphones and mobile platform. Following the initial successful release of the game in iPad and Android tablets, the developers are now looking forward to bringing it to a handier platform. They are also planning that "Hearthstone" will be a cross-platform game wherein players can play their account in all versions. It will include PC, Mac, iPad, Android Tablets and the planned iPhone and Android smartphones platforms.
Eric Dodds, the chiefe designer of Blizzard's CCG, revealed that players should experience a uniform experience irrespective of whether they are playing the game in desktop or mobile platforms. They are also finding a way to reach out with their player's complaint over the battery usage of "Hearthstone" in tablet. He explained "Hearthstone is certainly... it's a beautiful game, so it definitely uses power," however he assured that. "One thing we're constantly thinking about is how to make the most of the phone's battery."
"Hearthstone Blackrock Mountain" is set for release this April as Blizzard develops the mobile version of the hit CCG.
