Metal Gear Solid 5:The Phantom Pain producer Hideo Kojima has again posted via Twitter to feed the fans more excitement for anticipated worldwide release of the stealth action game. Collector's Edition pre-order as well as the premium package are also revealed.
His latest tweet put an emphasis on Snake, however, it also slyly sending out clues of a game mechanic, real time healing, that fans hadn't seen since the 2004's Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater.
The tweet posted read two simple words, "I'm exhausted" and attached an image of Snake onboard the Helicopter. According to Gamingbold, what makesthis image interesting is that it depicts the game protagonist Snake hooked up to an IV Drip. However, the odd thing is that it's hooked up to his prosthetic arm.
The speculation suggests the fluids themselves are in a dark bag, kind of green in colour and since blood bags are conventionally transparent, it's obvious that it's not a blood transfusion. Somehow, it's a lubricant for the arm, a sort of fuel allowing the arm to perform feats of strength not normally possible
Meanwhile, The Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Collectors Edition is a collectors dream that doesn't only come with a totally badass half scale model of Snake's bionic arm but also includes the following items: Awesome colour scheme and all, some gold weaponry, a set of four weapons and shields, three cardboard boxes, four costumes for Snake and a lot more pieces of collectors memorabilia.
The collectors edition sold out on Amazon where it was listed for sale on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for the low price of $99 that makes an incredible bargain for such wealth of content included in the pack.
Fans can still get it for pre-order from Game UK for £99.99 and EBGames Australia for $249.99, which equates to roughly £125 or around $185.
For those that want to purchase the premium package of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain on release will also be greeted by a full scale replica of Snake's new bionic arm.
The premium package will contain (along with the bionic arm) an artbook, a field map, bonus Blu-Ray, special case, download codes for gold weapons and weapons as well as bonus weapons for both Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain release and Metal Gear Solid Online.
