Winds of Winter fans were ready to wait for serveral months before the release of the book. Some eyed for 2016, most speculated that it's going to be the year after that. But you know what, you can stop guessing now. The latest news to date is that the release of Winds of Winter would be this year. Yes, it will be 2015.
George R.R. Martin is a self-confessed slow writer. Even if most of his fans didn't take this against him, some can't help but get frustrated. After all, waiting for years is no joke. With all the author's obligations here and there, it can be pretty hard to focus on writing. But this time, it's different. George R.R. Martin is willing to skip some of the most important events this year to be able to finish the whole book. He will only attend the events if everything will be in order.
By the looks of it, the Winds of Winter might be out on the shelves by the last quarter of the year. This has not yet been confirmed by the publishers and the author, but combining all the predictions, speculations and developmemnt about the book, it is safe to say that end of 2015 will be the best bet.
Does this mean that Game of Thrones would create a totally different plot? Well, not really. For everyone's information, the show's creators and the legendary author work hand in hand. Plus, George R.R. Martin revealed that he already knew how to end his story. That means, he might have discussed this with the TV series' team. What we can say is that there might be differences in the middle of the story. But the story's ending will definitely be the same.
