Former EXO Members Kris, Luhan Remain Bankable despite SM Entertainment Lawsuits; Could the Two join Forces Create K-POP Group?

By

Former EXO members Kris and Luhan are trying to move on from their falling out with handler SM Entertainment last year, and now dealing with an on-going legal battle between the record producer, with as much discretion as possible, all while slowly establishing their careers as solo artists.

On March 27 both Kris and Luhan met with SM Entertainment legal representatives at the Seoul Central District Court for the latest mediation on the dispute caused by the contract nullification case filed by the two in a separate date in 2014.

The legal meeting, which was speculated to be the venue for the parties involved to finally settle the dispute, lasted for only fifteen minutes. In contrary to what was expected, it did not end with a conclusion probably due to the parties involved refusal to compromise. This means prolonging the hearing for this case. Kris, Luhan and the SM Entertainment did not comment about the recently held court-order mediation.

Apart from that case, the former EXO members will have to meet again with the SM Entertainment's legal representatives for the upcoming hearing of the legal cases filed by the record label against Kris and Luhan, including companies that hired the two for commercial endorsements.

In the midst of these legal battles and all, Kris and Luhan have remained hopeful and confident about their career and part of it is due to the same support the two artists have been getting from their fans and the entertainment industry in China and HongKong. Kris and Luhan's fans gave them a warm welcome during the rehearsal of their supposed appearances in the CCTV's show the 'Spring Festival Gala'. Kris also has upcoming films and advertisement offers and Luhan is said to have an appearance on a star-studded Hollywood movie.

The two former EXO members, Kris and Luhan, have also been so graceful in dealing with all the roadblocks coming their way that, even if their appearance at the 'Spring Festival Gala' had been cancelled due to the legal charges by SM Entertainment, they had said nothing about it and instead ask their fans to continue watching the show. Kris and Luhan have been humble too in accepting job offers.

With the same warm acceptance the former EXO members Kris and Luhan are getting now like before, it may not be surprising if the two collaborates on a long-term project like spearheading their own counterpart KPOP group?
