Three cliche reasons why 'Bloodborne' rocks that game developers seem to always forget

By

Gamespot gives it a 9 out of 10, GamesRadar places it with 4.5 out of 5, TrustedReviews also gives it a 9 out of 10. IGN is still reviewing it, but all are pointing to one conclusion, "Bloodborne" rocks!

Is "Bloodborne" really that good? Is this third-person, souls genre title the real deal? and if it is, what made it so?

First reason of "Bloodborne's" success is pointed out by GamesRadar. Stick to the franchise's theme, but add new things without giving already avid fans something unfamiliar to gnaw at.

GamesRadar tells fans that "Bloodborne" is an "invigorated spirit occupying a reassuringly recognizable body..." pointing out its revitalized innovations developed in "Dark souls."

"Bloodborne" is great because it never strayed away from the successes of "Dark Souls," but revitalized it and made it better. Already having a sizable "Dark Souls" fan base, it is a wise move to continue nurturing this group by giving a brand new game with the same, familiar Dark soul.

Second point is supplied by Gamespot. A good game is the perfect combination of story and style.

Gamespot gives the game a 'superb' rating, telling fans of its, "Fantastic artistry with a clear and inviting visual arc," and "Surreal religion-themed story goes big--very big."

A lot of games went out with a puff of smoke because it didn't have the spark that a good story gives. All style with no story is like having all the looks but without any brains.

Third and final point is dished out by TrustedReviews who praised "Bloodborne" for its "Consistent, satisfying mechanics."

A broken toy is worthless and selling a broken game is heartless. "Bloodborne" has upgraded an already familiar game mechanics from "Dark Souls" and not created a new one that needs another learning curve. Though exploring new gameplay is not bad, but it should appeal first to those who are already fans of the genre. Giving what fans like, is like saying 'thank you' to those who have supported you and Sony's "Bloodborne" is one of the best 'thank you' gifts Dark souls fans could have.

Games are not only simple playthings, but interactive novels that engages the person. Story, style and familiarity are key components for sustaining a franchise title and Sony made all the right decisions resulting in Bloodborne's whopping success. Though not to mention slow loading times and its apparent, unforgiving difficulty, it is plainly and unanimously, the best game Sony has produced so far.
