Three new playable characters coming to 'Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition'

In an attempt to generate more buzz and excitement for the new remastered version of "Devil May Cry 4," Capcom has decided to add new playable characters into the mix.

Three new characters are now going to be playable, according to Techno Buffalo.

The first of the three new characters is Lady. She specializes in fending off and eliminating enemies via an array of long-ranged attacks. She also has her signature weapon, Kalina Ann, with her to help make getting around easier. Lady will be playable in missions involving Nero.

Trish will also be a playable character in the game. Featuring her trusty Sparda sword, some pistols, and good, old-fashioned brute force, she delivers a beating to the game's foes in the most medieval way possible. Trish is playable in missions with Dante.

Vergil emerges in the game not only as a playable character, but as the full-fledged version of what his character can be. Utilizing all of his killer moves in "DmC Devil May Cry" and his looks from "Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition," he has the best possible blending of both worlds in this latest incarnation. Unlike Lady and Trish, Vergil can be used in any mission.

The remastered version of the game will also feature better graphics. It will be running at 1080p and 60 fps.

"Legendary Dark Knight Mode" will also be included in the remastered version. Allowing players to take on numerous waves of enemies, the mode offers a welcome change from the game's classic action, according to IGN.

Meanwhile, fans from North America and Europe looking to get their hands on a copy will have to settle for its digital counterpart. The game will only be available in physical form in Japan, and even then, it will only have a limited release, according to Destructoid.

The game will be released in North America on June 24. It will be available on the PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
