A petition is brewing in Change.org, demanding Sony to release its critically acclaimed PS4 exclusive, "Bloodborne" also to the PC. The petition continues that turning "Bloodborne" into a PS4 exclusive is a 'betrayal' to all PC gamers.
The move is set forth by a user going by the name - A big guy for you - who is pushing the petition in Change.org demanding Sony to let everyone play the game. As of this writing, the petition has more than 23,000 supporters and the number is growing. However, it has yet to reach is 25,000 support goal.
This petition may seem a bit presumptuous, but it gives people something to think about. First, "Bloodborne" developers, From Software, may have some sort of "exclusive" communication with Sony. It may be that Sony wanted "Bloodborne" released for the PS4 first as a guaranteed safety net for their experimental probing with "The Order: 1886."
It can also be a strategic and financial move by Sony as the game is exceptionally good, meeting the hardcore critic standards of a superb game. Such an exclusive game release would tip the console war against Xbox to PS4's favor.
But whatever reason Sony and From Software have for making "Bloodborne" a PS4 exclusive, PC gamers are left out of this highly enjoyable game.
This is not the only title PC gamers are only allowed to look at but not touch. "Grand Theft Auto V" is another, highly praised game that was not immediately released for the PC. However, on the other side of the coin, console gamers are not demanding critically acclaimed PC games ported to PS4 or Xbox. Does this mean that console fans are more understanding, or do PC gamers appreciate the art and effort put into making a solid, triple A game such as "Bloodborne?"
Though the petition continues, Sony had issued no statement that it will port the game to PCs. However, fans are still hopeful that somehow, somewhere inside Sony's deep vaults is a secret plan to eventually port the game in the future.
