"Bloodborne" is now live and gamers can now have a go on its multiplayer co-op features. However, as many already know, Sony's new title is not a walk in a park, but like a death march on hell's pavement covered with barbed wire and shattered glass. The game is very difficult and dying more than ten times just to defeat or even reach a mediocre boss is not a sign of bad gameplay.
So, it is best to have a helping hand, and what better help can a gamer have than the mind and skills of another human being. So, how can one be good in Bloodborne's co-op play?
The game has a unique way of initiating co-op play. Anywhere in the game, the player can use the 'beckoning bell' to 'beckon' or summon other hunters to join a gamer's world. Though, it may take a few minutes for other players to appear as it depends on the level of the gamers online and the area where the beckoning bell is rang.
If wanting to enter other player's world, the 'small resonant bell' is used. This will look for players online wanting co-op play. Finally, an item called the 'silencing blank' can be used when one wants to end a co-op play.
Next is the use of 'insight' for online gameplay. Basically, 'insight' is a consumable item used when summoning other hunters for co-op play. Insight is harvested when players first encounter a boss and when eventually defeated. Gamers also receive insight after a successful co-op play with other hunters or when using the "Madman's knowledge skull," a consumable item in the game. Without insight, co-op play is not possible.
Co-op plays add another dimension in this already, epic game. One can only hope that problems that may appear in online co-op play will not be that severe as to ruin the fun of sharing a wonderful experience with others.
