There has been a buzz of leaked images of the latest updates from the Chinese manufacturer OnePlus. The images had starred a OnePlus One smart phone that has been running on the company's very own Oxygen OS. But not only did the smart phone feature a new operating system, it had also revealed an interesting User Interface or UI. The recent leak can be likened to a simplified version of the Android Lollipop by Google.
Many original OnePlus One users have a worry regarding their current smart phone's operating system. The "flagship killer" is using Cyanogen as its OS. OnePlus and Cyanogen had parted ways late last year and this had the users in a dilemma as to what will happen to their phones. OnePlus, on the other hand, had been busy in preparing their own custom Android ROM, the Oxygen OS. The said custom OS will give OnePlus users an Android-like experience.
OnePlus One users can expect the Oxygen OS to be made available on before March 27. The successor to the "flagship killer" will be making its show sometime this year and will be known as the "OnePlus Two" which will run with the company made operating system.
Aside from the high end "flagship killer" smart phones that the company is developing, OnePlus is rumored to be entering the console market. The company had released a teaser referring to a new "game changing" product. The images posted by the company in their website all point out to "gaming".
The first image has a glowing red dot at the center with a caption that says, "Start a new game". The second image featured a hand-drawn number one with the caption that reads, "For the fun of it." And the third image showed a pair of hands that seems to holding an imaginary game controller. The image is then captioned, "You're in control."
So what do you think? Will OnePlus once again surprise the public with its new venture?
According to Ecumenical News, OnePlus had announced that the new product will be out on April.
"It's not a tablet, and it's not a smartwatch. But it's a game changer."
