Beginning Sunday, April 5, 2015, Mad Men will be releasing its final set of episodes. This will mark the end of the many speculations that viewers have been doing since the beginning of the series. Fans never expected the many twists and turns of the series like how Cooper had died, the unexpected suicide of Lane, and the proof that Bob Benson was not a spy but just a man with a fraudulent past. As the Mad Men series come to an end, let's have a final look at the different conspiracies that might make its way to the final episodes and to the show's end to be exact.
Conspiracy #1 The Falling Man
At the opening credits of the show, a video of a man falling from the office building is shown. Who is that man? And is that a foreshadowing of the future events in the series? Others would even claim that the clip is just a figurative representation of how the people living in the Mad Men universe feel. However, many had assumed that the "falling man" scene is how the show would end. The "falling man" could be Don Draper who may have fallen out of the window or perhaps even pushed off.
Conspiracy #2 The Mysterious D.B. Cooper
The protagonist of the show, Don Draper is being likened to the mysterious D.B. Cooper. The existence of D.B. Cooper was dated back to 1971 who had boarded a plane from Portland to Seattle who ordered a drink and had made known to the flight attendant that he had a bomb in his suitcase. The alleged man had demanded a $200,000 sum, a parachute, and a fuel truck. After arriving in Seattle, D.B. Cooper made all the passengers go off of the plane and told the pilot to take off. He was never seen ever since.
D.B. Cooper was compared to Don Draper due to similar incidences in the scenes of the movie. Both share the same moral and isolating kindness. Lindsey Green in a Medium post called "Where Don Draper ends, D.B. Cooper begins," had claimed that both Don Draper and D.B. Cooper share a drastic need to feel alive.
So with these best conspiracies regarding the show, fans will be kept on hanging as to which of these theories will make it to the end.
