Rumors about band members quitting and the possible disbandment of British boy band One Direction had been circulating the news since Zayn Malik reportedly left 1D last Wednesday. Now, rumors about his former bandmate Harry Styles following his footsteps are taking the news by storm.
The band members seemed intent on pursuing their solo careers after 1D. Harry Styles had been known to compose his own songs and are friends with many musicians and singers during his free time, according to The Latino Post. However, with all this chaos about splits and cheating controversies surrounding the band that decision may have to be postponed.
Malik announced his decision to leave last Wednesday, March 25, after a hullabaloo of cheating allegations, drug problem gossip, and relationship drama. Of his 4 bandmates, Styles appeared to be most affected, as he was caught shedding tears during One Direction's Jakarta, Indonesia performance. Liam Payne was seen putting a comforting arm around his bandmate's shoulders as Styles broke down in front of the crowd.
So far, the all rumors remain inconclusive. Fans were devastated enough by the departure of one of the band, but two members leaving arouse fears of disbandment, especially since the end of the band's world tour is nearing.
Amidst the rumors, the band continues its On The Road Again World Tour as a four-member group. They recently performed in the Soccer City stadium of Johannesburg, South Africa. The group were still as good, although the loss of Zayn left a gaping hole in many a fan's heart. Zayn's supposed solos were performed by the remaining band members.
All bands have got to disband someday, but for 1D to do so immediately after a notable member confirmed his split would prove to much for fans to handle. Since gossips about a disbandment are purely speculative, and none of the group broke their silence over the matter, fans are at least certain that it is not yet any time soon.
