'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers: Daryl-Carol romance expected; Returning characters, "Scariest" season, and more

By

The Walking Dead just wrapped up its fifth season with a massive finale- including the return of one long-lost character we won't mention by name until just a bit later (just in case any spoiler-phobes happen to be reading along). But the cast of the hit AMC zombie series are already pumped up about the next season's worth of guts, gore and zombie madness- and they're already talking about what'll be happening in the next new episodes of The Walking Dead.

On The Talking Dead, the post-Walking Dead talk show hosted by Chris Hardwick, Norman Reedus (who plays Daryl), Melissa McBride (who plays Carol) and Lennie James (who plays our surprise return, Morgan), spoke about what will happen when The Walking Dead resumes this fall.

First of all, Morgan James will be returning in Season 6, for at least one episode. Lennie James says it himself: "I'm allowed to say that I'll be there for one episode at least." As well, there may be a future romance between Daryl and Carol, as the two actors spoke about a potential pairing-up with quite a few winks and hints at future storylines to come.

And Showrunner Scott Gimple promises that Season 6 of The Walking Dead will be the biggest, scariest, and most zombie-filled season yet. "For a good while now, humans have been the bigger threat. At the start of our next season, that will change," Gimple added. "We're currently putting into motion some of our most ambitious stuff yet and things are going to get very big, loud, and scary."

Along with Fear the Walking Dead, the new Walking Dead spin-off that premiered its first trailer during the Season 5 finale, we've got plenty of zombie goodness coming our way in just a few months. Now, we just have to endure a little bit of a wait to get there.
