New 'Arrow' villain revealed through massive spoilers? Season 4 update for CW series, 'The Flash'

By

A word of caution: everything in this article is going to drop some major spoilers for the end of Arrow's 3rd season, and likely its 4th as well. Only continue if you're willing to face the direst CW superhero spoilers the Internet has to offer.

Ready?

You sure?

No turning back from this point!

In the latest group of set photos to be released from the CW's hit superhero series, Arrow, some massive changes to the series' status quo can be seen. In the pic are three superheroes, standing in battle formation and presumably ready to take on some massive threat. First up is Firestorm, and then The Flash- played by Robbie Amell and Grant Gustin, respectively, from Arrow's sister series, The Flash.

Along with them is Oliver Queen, of course. But the famous DC Comics archer isn't wearing his usual green hoodie/domino mask costume. Instead, he's wearing the duds of Ra's al Ghul!

This would seemingly confirm a plotline that's been building up all season- that Ra's al Ghul wants Oliver Queen to succeed him as the new leader of the League of Assassins. And apparently, Oliver says yes! It's unclear if this is just a season-long gig or if Oliver's tenure as the head of the League will last longer than that. But if it stretches into season 4, it's very possible that Oliver Queen could become the new Big Bad for Arrow's fourth season.

It sounds strange, but star Stephen Amell has been hinting that the show's fourth season is going to shake up the status quo in a major way, and this could very well be it. What do you think? Would Oliver Queen make a good Ra's al Ghul? Would he make a good villain? Or would he be better off staying the hero in his own show?
