Jodi Arias Trial Latest Update: Hold-out Juror #17 Could Have Been Removed but Managed to Stay on

By

It was her lone dissent that turned the tables on death sentencing for Jodi Arias saving the convicted felon from certain death and infuriating many in the process - the 11 jurors including. However, recent court details dubbed "a minute entry" reveal that this one contradictory voice known only as Juror #17 could have been silenced effectively as state and fellow jurors moved heaven and earth to have her removed before the fated day arrived - the final deliberation process that shook the Travis family to the core.

Unfortunately, Judge Stephens thought otherwise seeing no misconduct or any untoward action to have her evicted. In the public limelight, many has expressed disgust over Juror #17 via Twiter and social media, begetting over 10 thousand #JodiArias hashtags in one hour for instance - in a public outcry that has since been labelled a dangerous precedent by the NCDP.

The Minute Entry

This could have averted the hung jury outcome. A recently released court document dubbed a "minute entry" spilled key details on the hold-out juror and how she could have been removed from the proceedings.

Entered into the case by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sherry Stephens, the data revealed how the other eleven jurors deliberating on the case expressed concerns not only on Juror #17 but also on the actions taken by the judge in response, as reported on CBS5.

More importantly, the document detailed that the state itself filed a motion to evict the juror who many now consider as a "lone wolf."

According to court records, the 11 jurors raised their concerns in writing to the judge two full days prior the hung jury announcement.

Judging Impartiality

First stop, the jurors were concerned that Juror #17 had been biased from the start as she had watched a TV movie revolving around Arias.

However, after looking into the jury questionnaire turned in by Juror #17, Judge Stephens confirmed that indeed the juror had watched the Jody Arias movie Dirty Little Secret but have indicated it on her form. Therefore, the judge saw no misconduct whatsoever.

Further, another concern was raised alleging that Juror #17 was largely ineffective as she was not giving any reason for her stand. This came on the same day the judge reminded the jury of the nature of their duties and giving them a modified jury instructions.

Secondly, the document revealed that the state filed a motion two days before the final deliberation to have Juror #17 removed from the jury panel in violating the order of the court not to do any research on the case.

Illuminating further, the state disclosed that recent FaceBook landing page of Juror #17 showed that she watched the movie The Secret "liking" various media sites - local and international - covering the Arias trial. Tenants in the book and the movie are major key points, the State explains as they are the same tenants Arias had faith in and followed.

Upon questioning, however, Juror #17 did not deny watching The Secret but detailed to the judge that she did so before becoming a juror and reiterated that she had not done any research whatsoever on the case

Taking Extreme Heat

Also, the court document revealed that she expressed her own concerns in writing to the judge complaining that she was the victim of undue harassment with her views not being taken seriously and falling on deaf ears.

Meanwhile, the mass hysteria against Juror #17 escalates, prompting police and security detail to guard her house 24/7. Pundits believe it is just a matter of time before she is forced to leave Arizona - or for that matter America.
