It has been months since the giant studio company announced that they are working with the 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' reboot movie, however up until now, they have no official cast yet. Could this be due to the 'rangers curse'? It was also speculated that Morgan Freeman is the right person to play as Zordon.
"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" movie reboot, even though there is no plot, a director or even an alleged premiere release is already buzz around the internet. The children of the 80's as well as the millennial children of today are already excited for this movie.
While excitements are up, it has been reported that the producers are having trouble in finding new cast. It was also rumored that the 'curse' rumors surrounding it affects the development of the film.
Fans begin to worry, thus speculations as to why there have been no cast lineup yet arise. The 'rangers curse' is noted by Yahoo Movies, stating the unfortunate events of the previous cast who played the role of the superheroes.
While that is something to be afraid of, many fans and even the original Blue Ranger debunked this myth. David Yost, who played Blue Ranger, intensely denied such "curse" surrounding the "Power Rangers" franchise.
I've never heard there's a curse," Yost explained to Yahoo. "But obviously anyone who's stepping into the role of a Power Ranger. I just hope that they realize how exciting that is and the impact they will have on many people's lives throughout the world and do their best to portray a good superhero."
Meanwhile, many fans are already composing some predictions for the cast line of the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" movie reboot. Moviepilot made their own list for the possible cast. In their post, Morgan Freeman is the best choice for the essential giant face Zordon. Aside an elite actor, Morgan has the iconic voice which is suited for Zordon.
The site also suggested that Lena Headley for Rita Repulsa, Emma Watson for Kimberly Hart, Freddie Highmore for Billy Cranston, Malese Jow for Trini Kwan, Ray Fischer for Zack Taylor, Jack O'Connell for Jason Lee Scott, and Luke Pasqualino for Tommy Oliver.
