Every game has some mechanical flaw to exploit, and the massively-popular "Bloodborne" is certainly no different when it comes to being home to some noteworthy and useful bugs.
One of the most annoying things to deal with when it comes to any roleplaying (or even fighting game for that matter) game is when the opponents just suddenly grab and hold the player's character and they seem to be incapable of breaking free from what seems to be a pretty basic manuever.
The same is true for "Bloodborne," but there is a way to fight out of the enemy's vise-like grip, according to Gamespot.
In order to break free, players can simply alternate between pressing L2 and R2 to break the hold just a touch quicker than the character would if this action were not done. The bonus is that when players use this tactic, they will also be set free while upright, allowing them to make an immediate counter move as opposed to being put on the ground and needing a few seconds to regroup.
Another useful trick to help beat "Bloodborne" is not exactly underhanded as it is just smart. What some players may not know, is that because of the latest 2.50 system software update for the PlayStation 4, they can know change the button assignments for the game. Players can simply choose the controller layout which works best for them with this new feature.
A more underhanded trick coming via Kotaku, involves leaving "Bloodborne" running on the PlayStation 4 for 12 hours straight. Doing this apparently makes the game's bosses weaker, so there's one dastardly cheat that could make progress easier at the cost of higher electric bills.
This tip could potentially become even more useful given the new suspend and resume feature added to the PlayStation 4 via its latest update, according to Polygon.
