The ex-couple Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder who both stars in the hit TV series The Vampire Diaries are believed to be rekindling the fire they once had behind Nikki Reed's back. Endless rumours about the reunion revolve around the possibility that Nina Dobrev may still have feelings for her ex-boyfriend. With the on-screen romance of Nina as "Elena Gilbert" and Ian as "Damon Salvatore" In TVD getting steamier by the episode (making Nikki jealous), it is no surprise that rumours about a reunion would spread.
Ian Somerhalder also reportedly "favourite" a Twitter photo of Nina Dobrev on Friday, once again sparking the reunion gossips. Somerhalder quickly justified the act by tweeting that he was hacked: "Clearly I was hacked, not cool #hacked I'm in the process of finding out who it was-PLEASE be respectful with your comments. Truly respectful!" Fans were not too eager to believe him though, as they replied "what's the big deal?" to favourite an ex's photo or that he was "caught red-handed."
However, sad as it may be, the rumours of an Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev reunion may be nothing more than rumours. Ian and his fiancée Nikki Reed were repeatedly reported to be "young and in love" and the multiple PDA shots of the couple serves as justifiable proof to this statement. Wedding plans have already been leaked and it seems that the couple is planning to have an outdoor wedding.
Being an on-screen couple in The Vampire Diaries and an off-screen couple in real life, the Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev pair garnered a lot of fans throughout their three-year relationship. After the couple split in 2013, Ian got engaged with the Twilight actress and Nina's long-time friend, Nikki Reed, after only five months of dating. Still, fans remain hopeful for an Ian-Nina reunion while Ian and Nikki still haven't officially tied the knot.
