Rise of the Tomb Raider initially went viral when Crystal Dynamics announced its upcoming release in 2015. Although fans irked at the thought that the game will be exclusive for Xbox consoles, a later announcement were revealed that it might extend to multi platforms such as PS4 and PC. Now, gamers are more enthusiastic with what to expect in the all-new 'Tomb Raider' series.
According to a source, the company has been dealing with fans worldwide by answering questions that speaks of the upcoming 'Lara Croft' game late this year. Crystal Dynamics thoroughly discussed various gameplay details such as QTE (Quick Time Events), Hand-to-hand combat, Visual animation and Elements of Survival.
International Business Times reported that the developer initiated a different approach of QTE's although they confirmed that not all combat-related QTE's were removed. Thus timed-button are still designed to engage dodges and counters, avoiding unfamiliarity circumstances from gamers who are used to the old game mechanics.
Also, combat skills do now differ with the weapon Lara Croft is carrying; this is something gamers will be looking forward to. Animation is another thing which the company would want to introduce to the fans where challenges are well-represented visually during the course of the game.
Not to mention, the additional elements of survival gameplay which Lara Croft needs to overcome with the use of her gears, weapons and combat skills. Elements that were present during the previous series are still visible in the upcoming series of 'Tomb Raider', the site added.
In addition, Crystal Dynamics also mentioned that the improved visual animation is so realistic that cuts, bruises and scratches will appear to where they should be in Croft's body.
Furthermore, 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' promises an all-new and improved gameplay and animations that gamers will surely enjoy. The game is expected to release exclusively on Xbox One and 360 during the holidays although rumors say that it will come for PS4 and PC platforms with no official confirmation as of yet.
