System of a Down steamed up the new Mortal Kombat X trailer with its iconic Chop Suey roaring over gratifying successive scenes of in-game, outlandish violence. Mortal Kombat X is due next week and fans are really edging on their seats as teasers and trailers continue to ramp up their excitement immensely.

NetherRealm Studios did not only use Chop Suey as its background song, but pulled in System of a Down's bassist, Shavo Odadjian to direct the trailer. The loud, angry motif of Chop Suey seemed a perfect fit for the bombastic litany of over-the-top killing moves seen in the video. These unbelievable killing maneuvers range from mundane stabbings to ripping a grown man's body using one's feet while in mid-air.
"I felt more like I was editing a movie," Odadjian said on a behind the scene video posted on YouTube. He also revealed that he is a fan of the series and loved the experience of working with the creators of this legendary franchise.
Twitch Broadcast of MKX Gameplay
A five-hour long gameplay was broadcasted live on Twitch last April 4 showcasing a huge amount of the game and a bit of revelations for fans. The gameplay broadcast debuts Goro and his 'punch-walking' style as dubbed by DualShockers who reported the event. It also showed how the story mode works out with the gameplay. Mortal Kombat X is the next title of the MK franchise that started more than two decades ago. The game had undergone change in visuals, graphics and gameplay but its vivid portrayal of fatalities, brutalities and its ensemble of interesting, brutal characters with exaggerated martial moves remains. Fans of the series will once again have the chance to reminisce the past but enjoy the benefits new gen hardware provides. The game is set for release on April 14, 2015.
