Square Enix continues to expand its roster of developers for their planned video game epic, "Final Fantasy XV" with the addition of HexaDrive.

"Final Fantasy XV" has been the object of immense speculation ever since it was first announced, and as fans continue to wait for the game's debut, it appears as though more crucial elements are still being introduced into the title.

HexaDrive has been a partner of Square Enix before as the indie developer also worked on the remastered version of "Final Fantasy Type-0" for the PlayStation 4, according to Gameranx.

HexaDrive has already worked on a good number of well-known titles with their work being seen in other popular franchises such as "Metal Gear Solid," "The Legend of Zelda," and "Zone of the Enders."

In addition to working on those games, HexaDrive has also grown its reputation within the industry after the exemplary work its done on HD titles such "Okami HD," and "Monster Hunter Freedom Unite," according to Siliconera.

According to "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata, the indie developer has been working with them on the game even before the formal announcement was made.

HexaDrive reportedly became involved with the project right around the time the E3 2013 trailer for the game was revealed. It was also around the time the game's name was formally changed from "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" to "Final Fantasy XV."

In terms of actual in-game additions HexaDrive may bring to "Final Fantasy XV," it's worth noting that representatives for both the indie studio and Square Enix scouted several cave locations for "Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae," a demo for the flagship title, according to Segment Next.

Aside from HexaDrive, XPEC Entertainment is another developer working on the game, according to Square Enix. The gaming giant also said there are other outside developers working on various aspects of the game.

"Final Fantasy XV" is scheduled to be released in 2016.
