'Eye Candy' may not happen if MTV considers the renewal petition on social media that becomes trending. Does it mean the show is certain to return for Season 2?
'Eye Candy', based on the book by "Goosebumps" author R.L. Stine, may get a season 2 renewal as the latest announcements usually signify full support from the followers of the show.
The MTV thriller's Twitter page re-tweeted a number of posts from users who want to see more of the intense drama last Friday. One tweet shows that the series is a pretty big deal on Twitter as of the moment with "Bring Back Eye Candy" as one of the biggest trends.
This trending support by fans has noticed by the actor Ryan Cooper, who plays Jake on the MTV thriller, happened to come across this tweet, seemed to be very happy with the support fans give.
"You guys are awesome!" the actor wrote adding a tag for Victoria Justice, Harvey Guillen, John Garet Stoker and some other users who are part of the series.
Despite MTV not yet confirming season 2's fate, fans of the show have already taken steps to fight for its continuation by launching a petition on Change.org. The petition currently has over 10,000 signatures with a goal of 15,000.
Until MTV officially confirms the show's cancellation, fans still have something to hope for and the petition through social media and Change.org might boost the show's chances of renewal.
Previously, show creator Christian Taylor has confirmed via TVLine that they are working on an "Eye Candy" season 2. He also dropped some major hints on what fans can expect in the show's upcoming season.
