'Batman: Arkham Knight' developers talk about curtain call game for the caped crusader

Gaz Deaves, the social marketing manager for the development team behind "Batman: Arkham Knight" recently touched on several topics concerning the game, including how Rocksteady Studios is planning to give the Dark Knight a fitting send off.

Right off the bat, Deaves said the game will indeed be the finale of the successful trilogy, but he also ensured fans of the franchise that the last title will more than live up to the hype, according to Gaming Bolt.

Deaves also said fans can expect a highly-detailed and very alive Gotham City in the franchise's latest installment. He said the team wanted to create a "living, breathing, complete version" of the city, and that fans can expect nothing less from the new game.

Another point of emphasis during the interview is the addition of new elements to the game's battle system. Deaves said players can now make more use of the environmental elements surrounding them during combat such as lighting fixtures and other random objects.

Batman will also be receiving some handy new toys in the game with some of them designed to be significant improvements on the gadgets found in the earlier titles from the franchise, according to Attack of the Fanboy.

As exciting as the addition of new gadgets may be, Deaves said gamers are likely to find the addition of the Batmobile to be one of, if not the best addition to the game, especially since it even features different modes.

In terms of the foil for Batman, Deaves characterized the villain in this newest game as potentially the most dangerous one in the series. The villain apparently has the ability to "exploit" the greatest weaknesses of Batman.

With "Batman: Arkham Knight" nearing its release date, the first set of action figures based on the game are also set to become available starting April 15, according to IGN.
