Speculations after speculations are circulating online about the much-awaited "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Latest reports claim that DC has decided to include Red Hood in BvS's roster of iconic villains. Previously, Superman's nemesis Lex Luthor has been reported to be in the movie to be played by Jesse Eisenberg. If Red Hood's inclusion in the movie will be confirmed, how could his character affect DoJ's Batman?
WHO IS RED HOOD?
For those who are still unfamiliar with the masked-man, Red Hood is actually Jason Todd, a son of a criminal named Willis Todd. He and Batman met when the caped-crusader saw the boy in an alley, stealing the tires off the Batmobile. After Bruce Wayne's plan to let him stay in a school for troubled youths did not pan out, he decided to train Jason to be the next Robin instead (following Dick Grayson's decision to be the Nightwing). Jason however was brutally murdered by the Joker, or so Bruce thought.
Jason Todd was able to survive his almost death and decided to become the Red Hood. He used the skills that he learned from Batman and turned against him for not avenging his death along with his group called the Outlaws. Red Hood is considered to be Batman's greatest failure.
RED HOOD IN DAWN OF JUSTICE?
Bringing Red Hood in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will create a terrific amount of conflict in the movie. Jason Todd and Bruce Wayne's damaged relationship goes way back and it will definitely bring a huge strain in the Dawn of Justice storyline. If the latest reports will be confirmed, then fans will have more reasons to watch out for the "Dawn of Justice" and try to keep their sanity while doing so.
Warner Bros will link the trailer of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" during the "Mad Max: Fury Road" premiere on May. After that day, fans will get a better look at the highly-anticipated superhero movie. Will Red Hood make it in the trailer? That we have to find out.
