Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 spoilers: Skye learns to control her power; Melinda's secret past divulged

Marvel's Agents of Shield (or S.H.I.E.L.D.) season 2 is really giving fans its all with the amazing episodes they are showing. The latest episode coming next week promises to be even more interesting, as if secret alien races and a second, "realer" Shield cannot be defined as interesting enough. In the new episode, we will learn more about a mysterious fan-favorite while Skye learns more about who she is.

The next episode of Marvel's Agents of Shield season 1 is entitled, "Melinda", and this is what fans have been waiting for since the first episode. What do we really know about Melinda May other than her being an infinitely competent, courageous, and dangerous Shield agent with a caring heart?

Fans do not have a concrete story of how Melinda May, played by Ming-Na Wen, became "The Calvary". Melinda, who is going to be in the middle of Coulson and Gonzales's dispute, is going to take us back to that time. One thing is for sure, though, seeing Melinda's past is going to coax a few tears from fans since it has been made clear that she does everything to avoid talking about it.

In the meanwhile, Skye (or Daisy), played by Chloe Bennet, not only learns how to control her powers without hurting anyone but she learns more about herself. As Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) tells her more about her true heritage, she learns something about the Inhumans that would provide her with a new path that she could follow.

What could this new path be? Now that she has a better hold of her powers, Skye could bring the show to places yet imagined by the fans.

Leave your thoughts in the comments. Are you excited to finally know how Melinda May got the name "The Calvary"? Are you interested with the way Skye's storyline is moving? Let your thoughts be heard!

Marvel's Agents of Shield is coming back next week, April 14, on ABC.
