Was it an example of fatal attraction? Maroon 5 was performing at Honda Center in Anaheim on Monday when all of sudden a female fan went up stage. It's almost common scene in every concert except that she's uninvited and hugged the band's frontmant Adam Levine. The weirdest or terrifying part of that moment, she cut Levine's ear according to 'Moves Like Jagger' singer.
The whole incident was caught by cameras by Maroon 5's audience and instantly, became viral video on different social media sites. Some fans questioned the security measures of the venue, while the majority condemn the fan. However, this awkward scene with a fan also proved that the 'This Love' hit maker is a pro.
Based on shared videos, the fan went straight to Adam when she's already on stage. At first 'The Voice' coach was pushing and telling her to calm down. In milliseconds he then decided to put his arms around her while waiting for immediate action from security.
"It's just weird to be, like, in the moment, you know? And you're singing, and your eyes are closed, and you have this beautiful moment. And then the next thing you know someone's f***ing in your face ... It's super terrifying," the 2013 People's Sexiest Man Alive shared to their audience after the female fan was removed on stage.
The 36-year old vocalist also divulged "cut my ear with her fingernail." After the drama, Adam and his group resumed their show and performed like nothing happened. Last month, Adam also had an awkward fan moment when they had concert at the Air Canada Centre. He accidentally tossed his microphone to a female fan named Stephanie Green. In an interview with CityNews, Green shared that it happened when P.A. system broke and Levine dropped the mic, which landed in her direction. Instead of getting angry, Green said that she's fine and considered the encounter a surreal one.
"It's just literally the best day," Green added. "My dream come true. I never thought in a million years this would happen to me."
"He keeps apologizing," Green said. "(I said) 'I love you, I'm happy, I'm OK!"
"Our first album came out in 2002, not one time in the history of our band's career - which I can barely even believe exists - not one time has the p.a. failed. Not one time, until tonight. In my flustered state, I might have thrown my microphone on the ground and then it might have bounced off of the ground, into poor, sweet Stephanie's face. I felt so utterly terribly that I had perhaps wounded this young fan," Adam said on stage and then invited Green on stage.
