A movie about Peter Parker's group of villain 'Sinister Six' emerged during 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' days. However the domino effect of Sony' hacking incident clouds Amazing Spider-Man's future as well as movie of exposure of Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio and Sandman. Is it impossible for Sony or Marvel to let these villainous characters to shine on screen?
'The Sinister and Venom' is scheduled to November 11, 2016 according to Sony's announcement in 2013. This spin-off project is apparently put aside at the moment due to company and Marvel Studio's collaboration. According to a Latino Review's source, things change with Sinister Six's fate because before Marvel and Sony think about them they need to reestablish Peter Parker's next movie.
"So the thinking at the moment is that Sony will faze out all the Spidey Verse films they were developing. Yes even the Aunt May film (that was real!) and focus on a story involving Spidey versus the Sinister Six. At one point they were developing a film that was just going to be a spinoff called THE SINISTER SIX. That's scrapped but the big news is that the director of that film, Drew Goddard, will write AND direct the Spectacular Spider Man movie," shared LR's source revealed.
If spin-off will not materialize for now, at least the Sinister Six may appear in the new webs-slinger film series called 'The Spectacular Spider-Man.' In addition to that Goddard was also Sony's bet when they thought about Sinister Six film that's why he left 'DareDevil' series. Thus, he may do some magic to finish his unfilled business.
"The first film will involved the Sinister Six coming together with the thought to later maybe spin them off," the source added.
