The "Ant-Man" movie has already suffered a lot of delays and Edgar Wright, the director that has been attached with the film for so long has been replaced abruptly by Peyton Reed. That and the difficulties the film has been experiencing in its production could possibly lead the film to a downward spiral in cinemas. Unless Marvel has a massive marketing strategy in mind, their efforts to create a big name for a lesser noticed hero in the MCU would end up being a complete failure.
The movie is about a Biochemist Dr. Hank Pym that discovers a group of subatomic particles that can alter sizes of objects. His first self-test goes wrong and he managed to develop an instrument that can be used to communicate and control insects. Unfortunately, he needs to pass down this secret to his apprentice, Scott Lang, the man destined to become the Ant-Man.
With a July 17, 2015 release and the scarcity of trailers, clips or even an official synopsis for the movie, fans can't help but wonder if an "Ant-Man" movie is really ready to be released 3 months from now. The lack of promotional updates and spoilers for the movie is also unlikely considering that Marvel seems to be very busy with the other movies slated with a later release. Is this an indication that the premiere of the movie will most likely be pushed on a later date?
Paul Rudd plays the role of Scott Lang while Michael Douglas portrays the role of Dr. Pym. The first Ant-Man teaser trailer debuted in an episode of Marvel's Agent Carter earlier this year and the YouTube version became a huge hit receiving 29 million views in a span of three days. This was a sign that the movie could potentially be a hit in the cinemas.
Unfortunately, after Wrights departure, the script for the movie was also altered. New characters were added, sequence that are not I the comic books were also included and several scenes were also altered according to Paul Rudd. The mystery and anticipation remains the same. Will "Ant-Man" be released on theaters this coming July?
