Although initial reports on Microsoft Surface Pro 4 circulating over the internet pegged its launch this July, reliable sources indicate Microsoft will be launching their latest flagship product this October as the first device to run on Windows 10.
Added to this, said release date is imminent as production activities is set to commence after the product's unveiling this April. Surface Pro 4, poised to be iPad Pro's direct competitor, is expected to carry a $1200 price tag.

DigiTimes of Taiwan through its unnamed sources from "the upstream supply chain" pointed out in its report that production activities for the Pro 4 tablet will start right after the product's April introduction.
That should mean that launching of the product is imminent. Reportedly Microsoft will initiate production of its flagship Windows 10-powered tablet in June.
With such a schedule, it is expected that roll-out should fall by the second half of the year.
Latest report from the Inquistr place the Surface Pro 4's launching in October 2015 with Microsoft introducing it as the first tablet to run on Windows 10.
Price and Marketing Considerations
Boasting of awesome features: two-size options (12-inch and 14-inch screen); 2K high-res displays; intel core i5/i7; 16GB memory; stylus, Microsoft's Surface Pro is set to be the iPad Pro's arch-rival.
Together with the Surface 3, the Surface 4 more likely than not would pull impressive sales for Microsoft.
To note, there were two million Surface 3 units shipped in 2014. This year, tablet sales projections for the Bill Gates company go as high as four million units.
With a successful launching and with Surface 4 in the limelight, it is expected Microsoft will reach a 15-million sales mark for its windows-powered devices this 2015.
Designed to be business-centric, Microsoft's newest flagship tablet once launched should be well-received.
Marketed as a strong alternative to laptops with computing prowess to match, initial pricing for the Surface Pro 4 starts at $1200.
