'Destiny' Update: New changes to be included in game's upcoming patch, Crucible combat to be balanced out

By

With the latest patch for "Destiny" set to be announced any day now, the people behind the game are giving fans more and more tidbits of information regarding what new things are to be expected with the latest patch.

One of the major changes outlined in the latest weekly update from game developer Bungie is the fix coming to Crucible combat. The patch will limit high-damage weapon encounters to help create better balance throughout.

The change is coming via a shift in ammo distribution for Crucible combat, according to Express UK.

"Creating a new system to manage ammo drops will enable us to adjust the Crucible experience without altering other activities in your Director. We believe that making ammo more scarce and important will provide players with more choices and more memorable encounters in Crucible," said Crucible designer Kevin Yanes.

To be more specific, one of things which could be greatly affected by the planned changes to Crucible mode could be the special ammo. Special ammo could be downright more difficult to find within Crucible mode. Bungie hopes the result of making these changes to Crucible mode is an environment where more balanced duels for players is possible, according to IGN.

Aside from tweaking its PvP mode, the upcoming patch will also provide fixes for problems plaguing the single player mode of the game.

One change is the addition of a new toggle to lock an exotic weapon so that it cannot be accidentally deleted, according to Game Rant.

Players will also be receiving the option to wear their helmets inside The Tower thanks to the latest patch. The change makes sense, since players tend to like showing off the fruits of their labor especially inside the virtual world.

Currently, no official release date has been assigned to the latest patch, but more details should be coming out very soon.
